Roc’s a war hero and you’re a snide.

Why is he a hero?

The fact that you even have to ask that question suggests you are daft.

You're telling me he's a hero for obeying orders?
Sounds a bit daft to me.

Sounds like your understanding of reality is somewhat lacking.
Joining the army is a career choice in other words it's a fucking job.
What you going to do when you leave school?
I might join the army not I'm going to be a hero.
There are some real heroes in the forces and people like you want to dilute their heroic brave acts.
Some guy throws himself on a grenade and gets blown to bits to save others.
He did it knowing he'd die or be a tragic fucking mess.
That's a hero but you want to compare him with someone who fucking stood in line.

Which Roc, there's more than one of you, Roc?

Where do we send your white feathers?

Have you got a Defence Discount Service card? You get money off on lots of stuff including cushion filling. I've saved quite a bit.

Jorge Faurie suggested that Buenos Aires would exploit looser diplomatic ties between the UK and Brussels to “enhance” its position, as EU treaties will cease to apply and member states will no longer have to support the UK’s claim to the islands.

The comments came after a meeting with foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt amid uncertainty over the legal status of the UK’s overseas territories after Brexit.

Does anyone really care? :dunno: :shake head: (not me)

Interesting you brought up the Falklands, the one and only time I was there, I went through two magazines of 7.62. Helping in my small way to keep the Islands British. The people on the island were very grateful I spoke to a couple of Argies who told me and a couple of mates they did not want to be there. But politicians in Argentina were forcing the issue, plus they were conscripts with eight weeks of training. I will not get into the discussion of the why and wherefore of keeping the islands British. But I find it interesting that no one giving it large on this forum except me seems to have been there.

Really? Well done old bean. Did you hit anything?

Thanks

I hadn't heard of it either until CannyDC told me about it - so thanks to him. You'll need your discharge papers for eligibility.

What else would you claim, Roc(s)? But you're fooling no-one. Not that it matters, it's just a forum.

Give it to them, and Gib to Spain and Northern island back to Ireland. The days of Empire are long gone.

But that is counter to the democratic vote in all three of those places.
So I guess those peoples choice is irrelevant in your opinion.
