We get travellers here in the summer. The caravans look fabulous, the field looks like a luxury holiday Park. There are obviously the usual moans from some locals (some of which are fair) but I've never heard of them causing trouble and they leave the area pretty tidy.

The Cheshire Hunt on the other hand, leave dog shit everywhere, turn up the fields with their quad bikes, abandon hounds who don't keep up, block the roads and then ofcourse there's the ripping apart live foxes for shits n giggles thing, which is against the law... For some reason under this government the law doesn’t apply to them.

Our travelers have nice trailers too, but they sure as hell wouldn't put them on private property. It would be akin to walking into someone's home over there and taking a nap in their bedroom .

Hunters over here are extremely careful not to trespass on someone else's property. If you have dogs that like to roam, folks out in the country may make sure your dog stops.

We have a completely different mind set when it comes to property.

In Texas, you can use lethal force to protect, and everyone knows that.

I wonder when someone will be held accountable for the actual Grenfell tower fire that would never have happened if it wasn't covered in flammable cladding?

The morons who burnt the effigy are a really convenient distraction.

It's not the easiest of laws to successfully prosecute. People here are still hopeful serious charges will eventually be brought against those over the tower block fire itself. It could have been averted but once they put the cladding on it was a disaster waiting to happen.

There's a bit more that's surfaced about the men involved and amazingly one of them owns a block of flats so God knows what the tenants think of their landlord. One of the men and his family have gone into hiding though 'keeping a low profile' doesn't appear something they're best known for. The husband is a flash character who likes wearing lots of expensive jewellery, drives an expensive car with personal plates, and a plaque on their house announces, "The Bussetti Family - Party Animals".

Neighbours described them as "‘Racists, lager louts, scumbags and EDL wannabes."

IMO its going to be a difficult problem to blame anyone for the Cladding fitted to Grenfell Tower ,
Reading up on the type of cladding used at the time it followed Standard European Tests = Re action to fire are rated A to F,
Reynobond PE had a certificate rating at the time of fitting of "B"

The only difficulty being caused is from wasting time looking around for scapegoats to take the blame for those at the top. Government/s and the council planners have a lot to answer over Grenfell. The cladding should never have been permitted and responsibility lies almost exclusively with RBKC, with central government sharing some of the blame. Without that disastrous combination of cladding and insulation, notwithstanding the other safety deficiencies, i'm convinced the initial fire could not have spread from the flat where it started. I’m absolutely clear that it was the insulated cladding, and that alone, that allowed the fire to envelop the building as it did. You only need view video clips of the fire to see that.

It documents the lengths planners and the two architects went to to get this awful monstrosity erected with scant regard for safety.
