I am not a baby seal, I could take back the club any time, except when I am sleeping.

So you’re only a baby seal while asleep? And when you’re awake what are you?

If You saw Me in Your dreams a baby seal wouldn't be a passing thought. I was Peter Pan in a former Life.

so why did You chose Lady Murasaki? I have had a keen interest in japanese history and cultue since I was 8.
“So much for their looks; but their characters - that is a much more difficult matter. We all have our quirks and no one is ever all bad. Then again, it is not possible for everyone to be all things all of the time: attractive, restrained, intelligent, tasteful and trustworthy. We are all different and it is often difficult to know on which aspect to dwell.”

She’s ahead of her time. First woman to write a novel/diary, or at least have it published. And this quote is spot on.“So much for their looks; but their characters - that is a much more difficult matter. We all have our quirks and no one is ever all bad. just reading the wiki page. seems there is quite a bit of contraversy over authorship. haven't as yet read any passages. My knowledge is centred around the time of Bushido medeval japan.

Yeah it’s pretty old. Probably excerpts from her diary which have been pieced together with pieces from other ‘ladies in waiting’.
