A Local Xmas Mystery

I was woken from my bed (just now as it happens) by a stranger looking for our neighbour.

He hasn't been seen at his work or his local for a couple of weeks. A week or so ago another neighbour (who knows him, we dont) told us that someone else had also been looking for him last week and that a van had been seen taking stuff from his place but without him being present.

Is he dead - or is it a moonlight flit? We are contacting the authorities.

There's no smell from his letter box ...yet. And I've just been told his car hasn't been seen recently. Looking more like a Lord Lucan.

It's shaping up to be genuine Agatha Christie stuff.
It's not quite in Stephen King territory - yet. Thankfully.


On a serious note, I hope he's ok & there's a happy ending.

Country places are strange though, aren't they? I was more bored living in London.

I took a break last year to the Mull of Kintire. On the way there a helicopter landed on the road blocking the only major route. We had to drive a hundred miles round on a track in the dark. Such is country life.

Good to get stoned in though.

Bit of an isolated part to get to but I'd have asked them to rotate the area. lol I'm no driving detours of 100 miles just so they can sit in the road - that's what fields are for!!

And you see more in remote places as we tend to notice strangers.

as a guest, there is no ignore feature. tried it when rolly and You started on Me in the shoe thread. lasted a few hours before I decided too much of a conversations context is lost. I don't actually like blocking for that very reason. which I forgot a long time ago.
