I groaned at the "nasty" Jobcentre supervisor calling the "nice" supervisor into the office for a dressing down for helping Blake, using that passive aggressive "unacceptable" language to do so.

Much of the issues illustrated will no doubt be levelled at the Tories, and rightly so, but some are going to be inherent whoever is in government, such as older claimants finding themselves frustrated with online applications, or the state using 3rd parties to make the ESA assessments.

Let's not forget that not only a lot of research went in to this film but the UN itself investigated the UK and found it severely lacking in the way it treats disabled people and the benefits system and procedures put in place by the Tories. (2010 onwards)

UN: 'Grave' disability rights violations under UK reforms

UK welfare reforms have led to "grave and systematic violations" of disabled people's rights, a UN inquiry has said.

Changes to benefits "disproportionately affected" disabled people, the UN Committee on the Rights of Disabled Persons (CRPD) found.

The UK was the first to be investigated under a UN convention it has been signed up to since 2007.

But the government said it "strongly refuted" the committee's findings and its "offensive" view of disability.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-37899305

The whole system has got worse and worse with changes being made for seemingly no other reason than to make life more difficult for claimants. Oh and lining the pockets of large corporations at the same time...

I remember watching a documentary a few years ago, where Duncan-Smith visited housing estates across the poorer areas of Britain, "researching"for his universal credit reforms. I knew then, that the Tory ethos of dog eat dog would be applied as soon as they were returned to power. He as good as said that he wanted to rid people of their security - their right to a decent home, access to food, heat etc. would depend on being able to jump through impossible hoops, which he intended to implement as soon as he was able.

The effects of his universal credit are intended ones, not collateral damage.

The hostile environment has marginalised the disadvantaged as well as expats who want to live here. Sixth biggest economy in the world for now...

About to be overtaken by India. With Brexit still to come.

But can't you see??

By tolerating Poca/Gabby, you are implicitly condoning her behaviour!

If everyone was like me, this world would be a fucking great place. But unfortunately its not. And that's because YOU aren't clamping down on the cam-dodging trollop as you should.

What do you have to say for yourself?

PS:
Do you like blacks?

Be specific.

Amber Rudd has had to slow down the roll out; only because the continuing and worsening outcry is becoming impossible to quell and the next stage would lead to absolute chaos and many more deaths. They probably wouldn't get it through parliament. And Brexit is top of the agenda.

Take action rather than criticise, UN poverty expert tells Rudd

The UN expert on extreme poverty has hit back at the new work and pensions secretary, Amber Rudd, after she complained that the tone of his report into the consequences of austerity in the UK was “highly inappropriate”.

Philip Alston urged Rudd to instead follow some of his recommendations to make the welfare system “more humane” rather than dismissing the powerful language in his report examining the impact of cuts and welfare reforms, including universal credit, as “extraordinarily political”, as she did in the Commons on Monday.

I have been avoiding this film on purpose because I thought it was going to be a pile of crap, however now having watched it I thought it was excellent and a wonderful highlighting of the social injustice pervading this country of ours.
Cases like Daniel Blake's are all too prevalent and people really are dying because of this ridiculous welfare system, seemingly designed to stop anyone even applying in the first place, although I happen to think the message that this film tried to get across will fall on deaf ears --- by choice I might add by the cunts in the HOC.
A great piece of drama of a truly sad situation placed upon a man by the very people meant to help him in his time of need, and I must admit that on a personal level I enjoyed the humour when the obligatory drunken jock called Ian Duncan Smith a cunt (basically).
I am glad I watched it.

That was exactly what I was thinking when watching it and what made it very poignant when watching the sad drama of that poor man's last days on earth battling against an uncaring establishment.
It has made me rethink a lot of things to be honest.
And on a parting note I would just like to add that IDS has always been a horrible cunt, even when serving he was much reviled.
