US-LED COALITION IS ESTABLISHING PERMANENT BASE IN SYRIAN-IRAQI-JORDANIAN BORDER TRIANGLE

The US-led coalition is working to establish a permanent military base in southwestern Iraq, near the country’s border with both Syria and Jordan, the Iraqi al-Maalomah news outlet reported on February 13 citing a source in the province of al-Anbar.

“Vehicles loaded with military equipment came from Jordan to Iraq to establish a fixed American military base to observe these areas,” the source said.

According to the source, U.S. forces are already moving freely in the triangle between Syrian, Iraq and Jordan. However, they are now planning to establish a permanent base equipped with advanced surveillance systems.

The US-led coalition has been trying to expand its military presence in western Iraq, especially near the border with Syria, since last year. In November, a commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) revealed that the coalition is trying to occupy the H3 airbase, known as Abu Rida al-Baldaui, in western al-Anbar.

This recent expansion of U.S. forces in western Iraq along border with Syria can be linked to President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw troops from Syria. Earlier this month, Trump openly said that his country is planning to stay in Iraq in order to “watch” Iran’s actions in the region.

NETANYAHU CONFIRMS NEW STRIKES ON SYRIA AS IDF REMAINS SILENT

On February 12th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel struck Hezbollah targets in Syria on the previous day.

This is in direct contrast with the position of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), who have provided no comment or details on any such incident in the Syrian Golan Heights.

Syrian state outlet SANA reported that on February 11th, the IDF targeted Tal al-Douhor in Jabata al-Khashab, Tal al-Deria and Talet Khaled with a number of shells.

Furthermore, the military source claimed that Israeli drones launched 4 missiles on Quneitra hospital and one of the points affiliated to the security guard forces, affirming that the damages were limited to materials.

Oh dear, msm will go in to overdrive now. We all know how they love a hospital strike in Syria...

“We Will Not Stand Idly By”: Yemenis Outraged by Latest Saudi Attack on Fishermen off Hodeida

At least eight fishermen were killed and five injured off the northern coast of Yemen’s Badh Island on Wednesday, when Saudi Apaches launched airstrikes on their fishing boat in waters near the port city of Hodeida. Ten fishermen are still missing following the strike.

Yasser Abker Ahmed Gethem, a 24-year-old fisherman who was in injured in the strike, recounted the events from a hospital bed in Hodeida Hospital’s emergency room.

We were carrying the fish we caught in order to sell them to feed our families. As we waited for sunrise, suddenly, at about 3 a.m. Saudi airstrikes hit our boat. Then we fell into the sea and the warplane came back again and targeted us with another raid. Then I woke up in the hospital — I was lucky because most of my colleagues were lost or killed.”

The death toll is expected to rise. The hospital where most of the victims of the airstrike are being treated is already crowded with a number of victims of previous airstrikes. Ambulances have been unable to transport the wounded victims to Sana’a or other provinces because of concerns over being targeted by more Saudi coalition airstrikes.

One of many human rights abuses by Saudi and their chums yet nothing in the western msm about it. Saudi remains an 'ally' despite being the home of terrorist extremists, used around the region for regime change along with Saudi wealth.

“War Summit” or “Peace Conference” in Warsaw: Netanyahu Demands Mass Murder of Iranians

Bibi Netanyahu misspoke. During a “peace conference” in Warsaw, Poland he said Israel wants war with Iran, then he turned around and said that’s not what he meant and “war” in Hebrew has a different meaning.

Israel has pushed the idea of a “war” against Iran for decades. Iran sits atop a list of countries Bibi and the Likudniks want to take out. It was “mission accomplished” in Iraq and Libya, but a failure in Syria. Iran is a tough nut to crack and not a pushover like Iraq (where twelve years of brutal sanctions worked to soften the country up prior to the Bush dynasty’s second round of “creative destruction”).

Here’s Bibi calling for mass murder in the lead-up to his destruction of Iraq. I say “his” because the “war” was orchestrated by a coterie of Likudnik operatives in the Bush administration.

In Hebron, Israel Removes the Last Restraint on Its Settlers’ Reign of Terror

You might imagine that a report by a multinational observer force documenting a 20-year reign of terror by Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers against Palestinians, in a city under occupation, would provoke condemnation from European and US politicians.

But you would be wrong. The leaking in December of the report on conditions in the city of Hebron, home to 200,000 Palestinians, barely caused a ripple.

About 40,000 separate cases of abuse had been quietly recorded since 1997 by dozens of monitors from Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Italy and Turkey. Some incidents constituted war crimes.

Exposure of the confidential report has now provided the pretext for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to expel the international observers. He shuttered their mission in Hebron this month, in apparent violation of Israel’s obligations under the 25-year-old Oslo peace accords.

Israel hopes once again to draw a veil over its violent colonisation of the heart of the West Bank’s largest Palestinian city. The process of clearing tens of thousands of inhabitants from central Hebron is already well advanced.

Any chance of rousing the international community into even minimal protest was stamped out by the US last week. It blocked a draft resolution at the United Nations Security Council expressing “regret” at Israel’s decision, and on Friday added that ending the mandate of the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) was an “internal matter” for Israel.

US, UK AND FRENCH SPECIAL FORCES ARE PREPARING TO STORM LAST ISIS STRONGHOLD IN EUPHRATES VALLEY

US, UK and French special forces are preparing to storm the last ISIS stronghold in the middle Euphrates River Valley once it is cleared of civilians and surrendering fighters, the Guardian reported on February 21. Units of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) will also participate in the operation.

The London-based newspaper said that the remaining ISIS fighters are hiding in an area that’s is riddled with tunnels and laced with the improvised explosive device (IEDs) and suicide vehicles. The terrorists are also using civilians, some of them are foreigners, as human shields.

https://southfront.org/us-uk-and-french ... ey-report/

If they are there at all it's to rescue their plants/key members and there are no civilians left in that pocket. SDF are the ones clearing the area and it's a bit late in the say for FUKUS special forces to turn up...unless they have a specific mission...

INDIAN JETS BOMB PAKISTAN. MILITARY SAYS IT TARGETED TERRORIST CAMPS

On February 26, Indian Air Force carried out an airstrike on a “terror camp” located across the Line of Control (LoC) separating the Indian- and Pakistani-controlled parts of the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region and completely destroyed the facility, Indian Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said.

“Air Force carried out aerial strike early morning today at terror camps across the LoC and Completely destroyed it,” Shekhawat stressed.

In a further comment, the Indian Foreign Ministry claimed that the airstrike was carried out due to Pakistan’s inability to take measures to destroy terrorist infrastructure.

“India has been repeatedly urging Pakistan to take action against the JeM to prevent jihadis from being trained and armed inside Pakistan,” the foreign ministry said. “Credible intelligence was received that JeM was attempting another suicide terror attack in various parts of the country, and the fidayeen jihadis were being trained for this purpose. In the face of imminent danger, a preemptive strike became absolutely necessary.”

INDIA CLAIMS IT SHOT DOWN ONE PAKISTANI JET, LOST MIG-21 FIGHTER JET IN BORDER CONFRONTATION

A spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Raveesh Kumar came with a public comment on the recent escalation between India and Pakistan in the contested Azad Jammu and Kashmir region.

Kumar said that his country shot down a Pakistani jet and lost its own MiG-21 fighter, with the pilot missing in action.

In an “aerial engagement a Pakistan Air Force fighter aircraft was shot down by a MiG 21 Bison of the Indian Air Force” and fell on the Pakistani territory, Kumar told media.

Kumar claimed that the Pakistani military used its jets to “target military installations on the Indian side” but due to India’s “high state of readiness and alertness Pakistan’s attempts were foiled successfully.”

Earlier, Pakistan said that it had shot down 2 Indian aircraft in its own airspace and captured two pilots. So far, Islamabad had been denying losing any of its aircraft as reports suggested that a Pakistani F-16 had been downed by the Indian Air Force.

Meanwhile, an Indian military Mi-17 helicopter also crashed in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir. It is not clear if the helicopter was downed as a part of the ongoing escalation.

Tensions between the sides have been sky-high since February 26 when Indian warplanes targeted what they described as a terrorist camp in Pakistani territory.

Furthermore, the Pakistani military said it showed “restraint” while downing two Indian aircraft. Spokesman of the Pakistani Army Major General Asif Ghafoor said his country does not desire war, but is ready to “retaliate” if India continues to violate its territory.

IN NEW MASSACRE, SAUDI-LED COALITION WARPLANES KILL 20 WOMEN IN NORTHWESTERN YEMEN (PHOTOS)

Twenty women and a child were killed in the late hours of March 9 as a result of a series of airstrikes by Saudi-led coalition warplanes on residential areas in the district of Kushur in the northwestern province of Hajjah.

The Yemeni al-Masirah TV said that the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes destroyed five civilian houses. Ambulances were also targeted by coalition warplanes.

“Warplanes of the Saudi-American aggression targeted the ambulances in Talan, in Kushur, preventing them from reaching the victims,” al-Masirah’s reporter in Hajjah said.

The Saudi-led coalition has not commented on this new incident so far. However, the al-Arabiya TV confirmed that coalition warplanes carried out several airstrikes on Kushur in the late hours of March 9.

According to the UAE-based channel, the airstrikes were meant to support Saudi-backed tribes, who are trying to break the Houthis’ siege on their positions in the area of Hujur, next to Kushur. Last month, the Houthis tightened their siege on the area.

This was the second massacre by the Saudi-led coalition in Kushur this week. On March 8, twelve civilians were killed when Saudi-led coalition warplanes pounded their house in the center of the district.

Despite the high number of civilian casualties, the Saudi-led coalition backers in the West are yet to take any measure to stop the airstrikes on Kushur.

It Started in Daraa on March 17, 2011: The US-NATO-Israel Sponsored Al Qaeda Insurgency in Syria. Who Was Behind the 2011 “Protest

Written by Prof Michel Chossudovsky;

The war on Syria started eight years ago in Daraa on the 17th of March 2011.

The following article first published in May 2011 examines the inception of the jihadist terrorist insurgency.

It recounts the events of March 17-18, 2011 in Daraa, a small border town with Jordan.

Media reports have finally acknowledged that the so-called “protest movement” in Syria was instigated by Washington. This was known and documented from the very inception of the Syrian crisis in March 2011.

It was not a protest movement, it was an armed insurgency integrated by US-Israeli and allied supported “jihadist” death squads?

From Day One, the Islamist “freedom fighters” were supported, trained and equipped by NATO and Turkey’s High Command. According to Israeli intelligence sources (Debka, August14, 2011):

This initiative, which was also supported by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, involved a process of organized recruitment of thousands of jihadist “freedom fighters”, reminiscent of the enlistment of Mujahideen to wage the CIA’s jihad (holy war) in the heyday of the Soviet-Afghan war:

These mercenaries were subsequently integrated into US and allied sponsored terrorist organizations including Al Nusrah and ISIS.
