After charging at a law-enforcement officer with a knife, an Arizona ISIS supporter who refused orders to back off was shot.

Ismail Hamed, 18, began by throwing stones at the officer outside a sheriff substation in Maricopa County. After he brandished a knife, Sgt. Brandon Wells warned him multiple times that he would shoot if Hamed didn’t stand down.

Hamed refused and continued advancing on Wells.

The incident was caught on Wells body cam.

Before the incident, Hamed called 911, saying he was pledging his allegiance to ISIS and wanted to “deal with” a cop.

“My name is Ismail Hamed,” he told an operator, according to the 911 call recording. “I live in Fountain Hills, and I’m owing my allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. I just want a cop to come real quick and I want to deal with them. I’d like to do something in protest for the people suffering in Palestine and in the Middle East.”

The incident happened January 7, 2019 however, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office only released body camera video and audio February 15.

Hamed survived and pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and terrorism charges on January 24.

Yes, I heard he called the police saying he was ISIS and asked they send a cop so that he could kill him.
He's lucky the bullets didn't him in the head ---well actually in his case that would have probably also proven non - life threatening because he clearly is one stupid fucker.

It is probably best to have his mental health assessed before sentencing, he is clearly not of sound mind.
