Do you plan to?
Why not tell us who your inspirational woman is, instead of grumbling about trolling in a trolling forum?
Lighten up and replace your negativity with positivity. :Wiiiine!:

Yes, on the 3rd page of the thread. It was before the crap started so you may not have read it!

For all the good she apparently did, she didn't believe in pain killers as she believed pain mortified the soul. The suffering that must have caused. :ooer:

I have no doubt it caused pain but it was the beliefs of her church, sadly. I knew she'd be controversial. :doomed:

A Convent School bestowing her virtues made me think she was a wrong 'un

Heard plenty about those sort of places - surely it's unnatural to take a vow of abstinence - after all - we are all given reproductive organs to procreate? And while some may be suited to such a life, others woefully aren't.

In MT's days, she had been brought up on a diet of a strict faith and I believe some of this reflected in her actions.

Tell you what, following the logic behind your almost throwaway comment could lead to a whole host of questions, like ...

If our reproductive organs are there in order to procreate..

is same-sex sex 'unnatural'?

is contraception, is abortion, 'unnatural' (and therefore wrong, by implication)

...and so on.

I'm not challenging your view, just pointing out that it can open a real can of worms when applied to things that are considered acceptable nowadays.

I would point out that because of this celibate life they agree to, the UK and other parts of the World are full of sexual abuse stories, so something isn't working. I live close to one that is going through the Courts now for all kinds of abuse, as well as sexual abuse.

Had you not clipped out the rest of my post, you would have read that I don't think that life is suited to everyone.

.... despite untold millions in donations, over decades.

The sick children laying in the squalor of the 'care' homes she ran, were apparently told their pain was like "kisses from Jesus".

But when it came to her own health, rather than have Jesus bestow kisses upon her, she took the fully-equipped American hospitals option instead.

Mother Teresa, revered for her work with the poor in India, has been proclaimed a saint by Pope Francis in a ceremony at the Vatican.
Francis said St Teresa had defended the unborn, sick and abandoned, and had shamed world leaders for the "crimes of poverty they themselves created".
Tens of thousands of pilgrims attended the canonisation in St Peter's Square.
Two apparent cures of sick people after Mother Teresa's death in 1997 have been attributed to her intercession.
