And counting.

I wonder what number will actually make this government sit up and take notice.

Of course, the likes of Guido will claim there are a number of 'fake signatures' - but this represents an awful lot of Tory votes lost forever, no matter what.

As someone posted on another thread about the petition to cancel citizenships of ISIS members, up to now, they are not taken very seriously
I listened to that "debate" but it was just a platform for some MP's to grandstand
The worst of all was Dianne Abbott who interrupted every speaker and even sank so low as to play the race card.
The only outcome was a formal record that the debate had taken place.
Waste of time.

I think I may have posted that. Yes, generally, they are a waste of time.

Certainly nothing it seems will save May from her insanity.

When the TUC and the CBI put out a joint statement, and use unusually strong language in it, politicians should listen. We should all listen

When they use terms like “national emergency” it’s time to think very, very hard

https://www.independent.co.uk/tuc-cbi-no-deal-brexit-joint-statement-plan-b-call-theresa-may-national-emergency-uk-economy-a8833986.html

May has lost the ability to listen.

Nigel Farage back in frontline politics as Brexit Party leader

[He] set up the Brexit Party last month in association with Ms Blaiklock.

She quit earlier this week after it emerged she had made derogatory comments about Islam and retweeted messages by the former English Defence Force leader Tommy Robinson and a former BNP activist

:yikes: Now why on earth would Nige do that...?

The politician, who has campaigned for decades for the UK to leave the EU and remains a member of the European Parliament.

....Ah, lovely jubbly.

When they do get to debate it - it will just be a regurgitation of the same old hype that we've been getting for the past 2 years.
The same tired old players chanting the same old worn-out rhetoric
Don't expect anything new to emerge
Don't expect any positive outcome.

Brexit referendum was based on lies - Macron.

"We saw people say it would be easy and we see what it is
"They said it would be fast
"They said they would gain tens of millions of pounds
"I think many lies went into that campaign. "

BBC already trying to suggest 'bots' at work. Funny they weren't bothered about dodgy dealings in the Referendum and Brexit.

But from the same link...

Cyber-security expert Kevin Beaumont said that while it was possible that bots were involved, it would be "a bit of a pain" to build a sophisticated enough programme to cope with the email addresses.

"They would have to make a bot that signs up with unique email addresses, then clicks the unique link to sign," he said.

The House of Commons declined to comment on its security checks but it did say the Government Digital Service uses "a number of techniques" to identify potentially fraudulent signatures and bot activity.

It is not possible to use the same email address more than once to sign the petition.

The site introduced a signature system after the last large petition (4 million for another vote if remain won) and it was found to be flooded by Russian bots. There are five million emigrants living all over the world most of whom don't want to fuck up their careers/families/lifestyle/retirement home, and they are entitled to add their names to the petition.
