It's right by the river so dumping tonnes of water will collapse walls and pollute the Seine while saving nothing as well as flooding the cafes and shops on the other side of the building. I'm not a fireman, nor am I blessed with the smarts of No45...

The lad helping me didn't hold her tight enough while I was cutting the wire and it ripped my forearm to shreds. He was ever so apologetic but ow fucking ow!

Worth it to see her go off to the next field and collect her baby from a bush, they both skipped off into the wood. :wubbers:

Wow, do you do this as part of your job? Or volunteer?

Im so envious (not about your arm!) but my idea of heaven would be spending time with animals, theyre nicer than a lot of people

Volunteer and I love it.

I remember the first time I saw Notre-Dame at night, from a river boat on the Seine...so beautiful...

Not sure, Fletch. But it's looking increasingly and irreparably bad.

I have some very precious memories of sitting on those famous steps in Montmartre :bawlin:

Paris police said the fire is believed to have been started by an accident related to the renovations underway at the cathedral

... and in my shock and disbelief at the news, I got my cathedrals mixed up  ... I've sat on the famous steps of the Sacré-Cœur.

I went around Notre-Dame in 2005, more for the architecture than the symbolism. It's a sad loss for the world.

Desperate for what. Your use of the word attention has worn out. Why single me out. There are plenty of attention seekers on here. It's usually replying to a post and getting a reply back, aka a discussion.

Your grudge against me seems to know no bounds. Maybe it's time for you to move on and pick on a few other posters randomly.

Cue from you 'jra playing the victim (again)'. That's another one of your buzz expressions against me.

Out of everything of interest posted in this thread jra, you chose that post to comment on.

That's why you have the label of attention seeker.

Why reply to a post from almost 2 days ago when you've been online numerous times in between if not for attention
