That's good for the local economy. London Euston is being (partly) rebuilt as part of the HS2 project, as the original station was demolished in the '60s (including the Doric/Euston Arch) and replaced with what only can be called a concrete monstrosity. Industrial vandalism IMO. We can only be thankful that St. Pancras didn't go the same way and was saved from demolition mainly by Sir John Betjeman.

we're travelling into Euston at the end of August, you could just see the work starting when we last went in May - I'm hoping there isn't too much disruption
isn't the HS2 under some sort of jeopardy again? I saw a headline maybe yesterday, but it isn't in my remit so I just glanced
Unfortunately, there is inevitably going to be some significant disruption at various times for a project as large as this, just like there was on the WCML upgrade and Thameslink Programme. AFAIK phase 1 of HS2 is too far advanced now for it to be reversed/cancelled, but for phase 2 and beyond, just like with many past rail projects in the UK, they are often curtailed/cut short or cancelled due to the usual excuse of cost overruns.
The UK IMO has a very short-sighted blinkered view (short terminism) on major upgrades, electrification and other projects as in not looking forward enough into the future.
As for rail disruption, just check on the relevant TOC website for current disruptions or engineering work.
