heat has nothing to do with skin cancer. and spf does nothing to prevent skin cancer---although it does help protect against ageing of the skin and burning. In fact--while SPF doesnt cause skin cancer--it can increase your risk by giving you a false sense of security since it allows you to be out in the sun longer without burning--exposing you for a longer time to those cancer causing chemical reactions in the skin.

i lived in buffalo growing up--so whenever we were on vacation or in the short summer we didnt miss ANY sun we could get.Not great.
Foolish youth. So far so good but one never knows.
