It's fuck all to do with brexit. It's corporate rule under neoliberalism. The same applies to markets and currency trading. Black Wednesday, 2008, no brexit in sight.

Some people need to face up to what they are actually cheer leading.

Black Wednesday provided an opportunity to exploit - it is therefore not fuck all to do with Black Wednesday.
Brexit provides an opportunity to exploit - it is therefore not fuck all to do with Brexit.

It's the best case, Black Swan is the worst case.

Why does it say "reasonable worst case planning assumptions" in the title then?

Why do you both champion corporate rule/dominance whilst knowing full well what it has done to the country and it's people over the last 40 years?

Inserted on 2 August under Boris. If you could be arsed to read the thread you'd know this.

a) Because it's a made up title

b) Because of the word 'reasonable'

People are careful with words because they have consequences. See the interview that I posted with David Allen Green for clarity :smilin:

Corporate rule will continue post no-deal Brexit - American corporations given precedence over European corporations.

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

Not worth suffering for.

And you can guarantee that remaining in the EU will prevent US corporates from gaining power and influence here?

Because it hasn't worked so far. But then that is the very basis of neoliberalism in the west. Something JC doesn't stand for and wants to change. Maybe that's why you and stooo don't like him. He's another threat to the corporate dominance.

No, of course not - but you can't guarantee me and mine a better life by leaving the EU - and nor can Corbyn.

The Dirty War on the NHS
The NHS is in crisis. Support John Pilger's latest film that unearths the hidden agenda.
By John Pilger

-this time for a film whose urgency touches all our lives, literally.

It’s about the NHS, the last bastion of a truly people’s institution without which so many of us would stumble and fall and perhaps not survive.

The film is certainly a tribute to the NHS; but, above all, it’s a warning.

Under our noses, often secretly and deceptively, our National Health Service is being undermined and sold off: piece by precious piece to the likes of Richard Branson and the giant American health insurance companies that are at the root of the misery that is American healthcare.

The privatisation of the NHS has been mostly insidious – by “stealth”, as one of Mrs. Thatcher’s cohorts once advised. But since 2010, the “reforms” have speeded up. It’s got to the point that if we don’t act now, we’ll wake up one day to an unrecognizable health service that is no longer ours.

As with my previous films, this film will be in cinemas and on network TV, bringing a vital public message, and warning, to a mass audience

Or by staying.

There are no guarantees in life except death and taxes.

Yep - and with death a fucking sight closer than a socialist revolution in the UK I'm opting for internationalism over nationalism.
