All this leave with a deal is nonsense.
We have already been told we have been offered a deal and that's it .... Europe won't be spending anymore time making up more deals .... take it or piss off is the message so why do people keep going on about getting a deal .... it's over it's done.
Stay or leave with the deal we were offered .... that's it folks.

A Labour deal with the EU would be radically different, as it would mean remaining in the Customs Union, securing for instance continued EU market access allowing British farmers and food producers to continue to sell their products on the Continent, and harmonising of food and other standards.

It would guarantee existing rights for all EU nationals living in Britain and secure reciprocal rights for UK citizens who have chosen to make their lives in EU countries.

The UK would maintain all security ties with the EU (Interpol, etc) and maintain the EU arrest warrant.

And lots of other stuff the EU will happily agree to with little or no debate.

Yes yes yes, I just quoted from that

So all that talk from Corbyn today about a 2nd referendum is bollox

Nope.

General election first

Deal with EU second

Referendum, with accept deal or remain on ballot paper third.

There - as simple as I can get, but very sad for you that I feel the need to do it. Are you having another "forgot return journey" moment ?

None of that is in the Labour Party policy
So you're just posting bollox
Just like Corbyn.

Are you a Labour party member and speaking with authority, or just Googling frantically and grasping at any straw of comfort ?

It is Labour policy, in that precise order.

"Whoever becomes the new Prime Minister (after a General Election) should have the confidence to put their deal, or No Deal, back to the people in a public vote. "

Jeremy Corbyn 9.7.2019

https://labour.org.uk/latest/stories/la ... blic-vote/

"If an election was called, Labour says it would go into a campaign arguing for a further referendum, with voters able to choose between a "credible Leave option" and Remain."

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-45640548

"We will scrap the Conservatives’ Brexit White Paper and replace it with fresh negotiating priorities that have a strong emphasis on retaining the benefits of the Single Market and the Customs Union"

Labour manifesto 2017

https://labour.org.uk/manifesto/negotiating-brexit/

Where in the manifesto does it say that there will be another referendum?

"Where in the manifesto does it say that there will be another referendum"

Labour policy is updated by Conference.

You are trying to read an outdated (early 2017) document. There have been 2 conferences since then.

Google won't help.

The Europeans have had enough and want us gone ... we are poison if we remain
There is no other deal coming.

Europeans once hoped the British would reverse Brexit. Now, many can’t wait for them to leave.

Ah yes - the conference
That's when all the £3 15-year-olds get to decide Labour policy

There's one coming up in a few days
Should be fun.

Oh dear - you really should try boning up on this stuff before you post your garbage.

More info for you to store - best write it down, because you have the memory of a goldfish...

Each CLP (Constituency Labour Party) gets the right to send a delegate to Conference.

That delegate, chosen by the CLP, gets to vote at Conference on policy AS DIRECTED BY THE CLP.

So, first off it is EXTREMELY unlikely you will see any 15 year old delegates (they are at school) and if there were, they don't decide anything as they are directed by the CLP, i.e. party members.

And we love having them in the party, they are excellent workers, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and I look forward (as they do) to them getting the vote at 16.

Maybe he's thinking about the Tories conference

Not relevant to this thread except that it has the word "court" in it. :shake head:

He's still trying to figure out how to justify his statement that 15 year olds will be 'making policy' at the Labour conference rather than be in school...

A tough one, could take a while.

I wonder if he could enlighten us on the procedures at the Tory party conference.

Looks to me that it's just a very few elderly and infirm people, mostly falling asleep whilst being lectured to.
