I know that men are more likely to carry out violent crime than women, there's no doubt about that. I suppose my issue is with your use of the term
toxic masculinity. It seems to be an abstract notion, yet it carries the implication that masculinity or the state of being male is in itself somehow a 'toxic' condition. I'm sure you don't really think that - or perhaps you do? My point is that both men and women can behave in ways that can be described as toxic (ie evil, menacing, harmful etc). Of course you are right to say that most physical violence is carried out by men.
