KNIGHTHOOD FOR DOMESTIC ABUSER

KNIGHTHOOD FOR DOMESTIC ABUSER

Postby Cannydc » Tue Sep 10, 2019 11:44 am

Not sure how low Tories can sink, but Treeza, a woman who considered measures to combat domestic abuse one of her pillars, giving a knighthood to Boycott is daschund's belly low.

"During the trial, the court was told that Boycott pinned Miss Moore down and punched her 20 times in the face before checking out and leaving her to pay the bill."

Fury as Boris Johnson drops domestic abuse victims' help in Parliament shutdown

Campaigners have expressed their fury that Boris Johnson has dropped a new domestic violence bill as part of his parliament shutdown.

The PM's decision to suspend means any bills passing through Parliament are automatically dropped and may never be brought back.

No change there then. :shake head:

I don't understand why this man is being rewarded for being a woman beater - dare I say he will soon be dead because I can see he won't be with us for much longer ...

And he still denies it even happened.

Selective memory these abusers have.

I’m surprised more posters haven’t commented....then again... brush it under the carpet and no one will notice. :shake head:

Probably because it was that long ago, most forgot the detail. Any form of abuse is horrible but i think psychological is probably worse than physical with social media being a major enabler. I don't follow cricket but know Boycotts reputation for being outspoken and brusque. He did himself no favours at all in the interview i heard.

He did himself no favours punching a woman 20 times. But then again, he was a good cricketer so let’s just sweep that violent criminal act under the carpet, hey, it was years ago!

Why are you such a hypocrite?

Labour made Sarah Champion their shadow minister for domestic abuse even though she was arrested and cautioned for assaulting her husband.

Wasn't he convicted in a court of law?

She would have been if Labour were in power, the Tories are in power, that's the difference.

All you've got is straws, what Labour did was far worse.

He’s the sort of batsman we need in the current Test side! Brilliant attitude and approach to winning at all costs, which you need to be successful at the highest level. Well deserved knighthood in my opinion...

No, it doesn't follow that a shadow minister becomes a minister in government.
